    Budget

So we all know things are getting ready to get ugly and major cuts are coming.

I’m thinking SOAR will be reduced substantially if it even stays around along with COPP. Time to go back to offsetting overtime when road coverage is horrible to begin with.

Any other guesses of what’s to come ?

We are already having to offset. Hammer coming down if you have so much as a hour over in that timesheet.

They will disband the road side of FHP and have the counties cover to the calls. They will keep the essential parts of FHP, THI and CVE. State of Florida is almost 6 billion in the red.

Yea because Florida is the only state that is hurting financially. So I guess the other 49 states are disbanding there Highway patrol / state police as well.. A** clown 🤡.

They are taking another look at Govenor Rick Scott proposal from 2011 of disbanding the Florida Highway Patrol. The Sheriff's are no on board. So, this back in play.

Okay ill feed the troll. You will most likely see open positions get eliminated and positions will be shuffled around. You will see everything go back to normal in society after the election and the economy will recover just fine. Disbanding the patrol would be defunding police, our governor is very much against that.

Cancelling the academy classes and getting rid of the recruits. Removing their positions. Disbanding FLAIR and other specialty units will replenish the road. Then FHP goes back to zero hiring for a couple years and the worst paid agency in the country. We’ve been here before rooks.

No, not defunding but disbanding. This is to save tax payers money and allocating funds to other parts of the budget.

Giving that money to social service to help with this mental illness crisis in the county.
