Unfortunately lazy officers and detectives exist in every department. If you are not satisfied with the way they are handling the case, call the Chief directly, City Council, or Mayors office and voice your concerns. Hold them all accountable!!! If you still see no results after voicing your concerns call the Chief back and demand the case be reassigned to his best detective.

Detective divisions at police departments are kinda like pro football teams.....some departments have Tom Brady’s on thier teams, mixed in with other decent ones. And some departments (like FMPD for example) have the left over rejects mixed in there with other peeps that should of been cheerleaders. Lol They have no idea what they are doing.... and are poorly managed led by inexperienced idiots!

If you are still not having any luck go to the media!!! The more media attention the better!!!

Other options to consider are: 1. A private investigator. Make sure to pick a good one! Need to look for one with lots of experience solving cases. Try to look for a prior FBI guy or gal. They will be your best option. Also ask media for help, to ask community to assist with a go-fund me account to help you with expenses. Most detectives at the police departments have several cases assigned to them at a time. Most get overwhelmed with the workload, or they are just lazy and do not work the cases properly. Hold them accountable and ask for weekly or bi-weekly updates to see what they are doing! If it seems like PD is not getting anywhere def hire private investigator! 2: Contact a television show and ask for their help. Most love to travel to Florida!

Hope this helps! Good luck to you and your family!

basically if you want it done right then don't rely on fmpd detectives.

Nice to see that a colleague actually still gives a damn about solving a case
