    Rumor has it all the black SUVs are going to detectives and are replacing any crown vics that are driven by detectives. If that’s the case, that is actually kinda cool.

    So patrol is going to keep using unreliable tauruses and crown vics with 140,000+ miles on it?

    I’m not saying detectives don’t need new vehicles. They deserve to have them, but the priority should be getting patrol vehicle mileage down so they’re not breaking down and taking deputies responding to calls off the road.

    Once that’s done, then the detectives should get taken care of too. But obviously a detectives car breaking down isn’t as catastrophic as a zone deputies that might be responding to a priority call.
