Salaries
The staff salaries were recently posted on another thread. Do the commanders and majors and anyone else in staff really believe that the lts and sgts and officers are going to make arrests, give mask citations, do park and walks, take 50s reference shootings and do anything other than answer calls for service when its OUR SALARIES ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK AND NOT THEIRS!?!?! No wonder morale is on the floor and so many rookies are looking for work elsewhere and senior employees are retiring early. Their poor planning cost the city millions on OT, and now we get our salaries cut yet they want us to work and drink their kool-aid so they can get their bonuses and promotions.

Betcha someone posts something about Ortiz. Or Tommy. Because let's face it, no one ever wants to say or do anything unless those two are the topic of conversation. Sad.

You need to understand something. Staff, could care less about you, me and us, as long as they are looking good. Staff salaries are way to much, compared to officers, Sgt's & most Lt's. A 126+k is the least amount a commander makes. Commanders should go, first before they start to cut our pay. Lt's can handle that work, most pretend to do. The executive Sgt's make 6 figures too. Doing the work, a civilian can do for much less. Control overtime, is another way. The money spend on guard duty for the Mayor's house, should be done away with. Guarding city hall too, should go. It's a joke the way the city spends money, then cry's were going broke. If, we are to take pay cuts, then city hall and ALL staff, should be hit first and the cuts made public. They should take a min. of 15%

$5.7 million. Thats what the staff salaries total. More Majors, more EAs, more commanders. Reduce their salaries by 20% and then see if they push for arrests, stats, tickets, covid enforcement, etc
