    Entitlement

So our City just approved the police contract for a full 2% raise and full back pay back to October 1st 2019. The village will get nothing in return. There is a re open in the contract talk to negotiate two more years for more money and benefits this coming October.
And we have this type of funds to now be just short of a 7 million dollar budget?
We don’t have a real city hall or rec center and most of our workers outside of the police are day workers ?

This place can’t keep this up for next years without raising mileage/taxes. Plus our city does not exactly look that appealing anymore, it’s just a thoroughfare from Miami to Miami beach and back.

    FB censorship

NBV Residents FB = censorship. Any post critical of blogger's views is deleted. He controls the discussion to fit his point of view. Case in point: our state rep with name rhymes with the green lizard and insurance company is under criminal investigation and law license at stake. Won't see that on FB, yet blogger slaughtered the TI commish for something far less. Blogger supports the police chief, the mayor, so no criticism allowed. Commish at large friends with the guy who allegedly bribed witnesses to a violent crime, and already has a conviction for fundraising scandal. Not saying he's guilty. Just saying, won't see it on NBV-RS-FB. NBV discussion heavy controlled, but for this site. God bless the police. Down with censorship.

    Facebook lives matter

    "Elected Officials" and our Future

I was reminded today that 4 out of the 5 that will be on the Commission come November because they were unopposed! KV, Cherbony and their mean girl clan control dialog on the FB page, no dissent allowed. They have been so successful that people are afraid to speak up and they can now pick their candidates and ultimately control our Village. Facebook Lives Matter!

We don’t to raise taxes. Let’s put up a toll on either side of the bridge. We can charge 1.00 each way, just like Shepard Broad Cswy. Problem solved, your welcome.

This mayor and commission have overseen huge and mindless expenses. A dog park where we were to have a fire and police station. A half a million $ "study" with recommendations. New positions. And huge payouts (political payback) under the smokescreen of the "previous commission's errors." No one with half a brain is falling for that. Ever heard of the buck stops here? Still no Village Hall and the debt keeps growing. Two years and stop blaming the previous mayor. She never squandered the taxpayers money the way the current powers are doing. That's because she's a homeowner & taxpayer who works for a living. NBV is in irreconcilable debt and the bleeding continues. The only one who votes without strings attached and for fiscal responsibility is stepping off the commission. Let's hope some new blood stops the financial free fall. Doesn't seem Rachael or R-C owes the good doctor and his silly wife anything. Let's hope not.

Funny thing you need to really look and see where that $500k for "recommendations" went. Fellow alumni shall we say. Funny thing several of the officers I talk to made these "recommendations" time and time again but because they're the silent majority they are not heard or thought of as not knowing any better. We have alot of good people working here but sadly the corruption blocks progress in this city. 12 years I seen the politics kill this beautiful city but no where near as bad as now. Then I see the city's history and know it's been that way since it's incorporation.

    Defund

Defund and remove the biggest waist of funds and outsource police and garbage. We will save about 3 million tax payer dollars.

    MDPD not Miami Beach

The entire city is already vested in FRS and the change in pension is not good. Protect your tomorrow!!! The county system will be much better for all involved. The city can remain a city and contract all services to a great county government with mega resources. Besides. Sissy will still be crime watch and you can suck butt still. Jackie might gonna have to be do sompin cept Park by the gas station or his new trick, park in the middle of the road sleeping with the lights on. Worthless since day one. Can’t even spell worthless.
