We can skip the tough guy SWAT comments and the old salts that don’t want to get with the times.

    Thoughts?
Give it up dork! No one wants those stupid vests for patrol.

If survey would be taken right now the vote would be overwhelmingly for the vests. If the vests suck so much let's take them away from the ones who already have them and watch them cry and complain.

Every unit that has them uses to work without them. So there was a practical need.

Ok sheriff, let's put this one to bed before it gets as embarrassing as the last thread on this topic. Approve the load bearing, tough guy, ultra tactical operator vests, along with a new policy stating that no photographs whatsoever are permitted in said vests, whether agency identifying logos are present or not, not permitted on social media or for personal use. Any violations will result in immediate termination. Watch the interest drop. 🙄. Lol

Ya u right. All the social media badazz’s we got working here will vote for them when they realize how cool they will look in their vests. These morons already embarrass us all with their stupid social media posts just wait how bad it gets when they are wearing their tacticool vests!

Bob only promotes and re-hires the best and brightest people. If they decide you need a vest they will issue you one.

Who cares if they take photos in them? Does it even have any adverse effect on you in any way? Just like the douche that was whining about specialized units carrying 9mms, are you really such a petulant manchild that you have to come on an anonymous forum and cry in an effort to have them taken away? Both sides if these arguments have become just plain obnoxious. The fat dinosaurs touting the merits of the K frame and 870 are equally moronic alongside the cry baby millennial.

There are obvious benefits to load bearing vests. If you're the idiot whining about how people look on the street, I guarantee you have too much time on your hands. In 2020 do you really think "scary" police in the neighborhood makes any difference in the political climate? Id be willing to bet the "thumbs in the armholes" guy is the same fat POS with his hands in his pockets on a call that never cleans out the stack of mcdonalds bags on the passenger floorboard.

First, load bearing vests are healthier and better for all. As someone with a back injury that I got on duty, I would benefit greatly if I got to wear one. Source: https://www.csuci.edu/publicsafety/p...aring-vest.htm

Second, every has the idea that external vest means a Tactical vest like K9 means. What we mean is the vests like ithwr agencies wear around us. SPPD and PPPD wear ones that still look like uniform shirts but allow them to move gear from the belt.
