Back in July we were told that all days off and vacation requests would be canceled reference an “uptick” on Labor Day activity. Many of us canceled plans (because we are off that weekend and can’t request the day off on our day off) or we did not make plans because we were being forced to work. Now they decide to do enhanced staffing and not alpha/Bravo. So now we get screwed out of going on a vacation because everything is booked and it’s too late. WTF!!!

Bro, you're in a Department with pay and benefits better than 99.99% of other departments and your complaining of not "making plans". Get it together!

These action plans are just another way for the brass to justify their existence. Again not much real crime here and the crime we have revolves around one group of people and homeless. And we cater to the homeless now the word is out how we provide so many services more are arriving by the day. Don’t you find it funny that if the brass were so concerned about fighting crime they would not have gotten rid of CST. Now that leaves us with 6 undercover units. But yet we create an auto theft unit to fight A property crime that we know most are Insurance fraud jobs. The way I see it the brass is ultimately afraid to really fight crime in fear of complaints and BLM. So what we do is create BS details like operation safe streets where they can doctor the numbers and throw Up a smoke screen to city hall.
