Does this happen and other jails around the area and across the US? Answer yes you idiot. They’re trustees so they are given abilities to walk around outside with supervision as in this case. Every now and again you get someone who’s been sentenced and has an out date and they do something like walk without looking at the consequences. Now she’s facing a 5 year prison sentence. This is not isolated to Hendry County and trustees are a necessity to keep cost of labor down for Hendry County.
