Bring DM back from admin leave

Why is DM still on admin leave for following his training, an incident recorded from a Helicopter and posted for all to see, and documented accordingly? Does SPD not have our backs? Are any of us next?

The chief will throw any of us to the wolves to appease the Newtown folks.

It’s okay the new patrol schedule will fix everything. Now she can come into briefing to give a motivational speech to everyone.

He was put on admin leave for 3 reasons:

    1. The chief spoke to the media condemning the George Floyd incident and stated that "Our officers aren't trained to put knees on the back of the neck of subjects." THEN the video of the Carrol arrest surfaced so she got caught with her hand in the pudding. How could something she condemned have happened under her watch? Only 2 options-

    A. Admit that she is ignorant of SPD policy and admit that what Martinez did was not out of line BECAUSE HE DIDN'T DO IT FOR 8 SECONDS!!!! Thus making her look like a complete jackass for her previous unqualified ignorant statement. (That must never happen, her strength lies in her public image, not in her leadership abilities)

    B. Martinez went rogue and did not follow policy. He and all involved must be written up and investigated for allowing this. This clears her of any wrongdoing and the pawns beneath her are the ones now under investigation. Pure political move as you can see and allows for the following 2 scenarios.

    2. As long as Martinez is under an Internal Affairs Investigation, she can't talk about it. The media can ask about it until they are blue in the face but legally she can't "talk about it." Martinez has been put out on the pasture awaiting the change in season. Old news is no news at all -so she hopes.

    3. Martinez's investigation also gave the Chief sometime to put things in order in reference to the Vascular Neck Restraint policy and pushing minorities to promote since her token black Sergeant is retiring soon. By the time Martinez is cleared, there will be women and colored folks promoted as Sergeants. That controversial press conference will look much more beautiful with darker skin and more females surrounding her.
