Santana is running for political office for a different job than what he had. This is totally different than the double dippers who left the agency for a month or 12 months and came right back to their old jobs with the same pay.

Yea because the guy’s last two campaigns were so successful, I’m sure the sheriff really has a lot to worry about. The guy is a horrible public speaker, doesn’t seem intelligent at all, is running on a joke of a platform, and appears to be just desperate for a political job. From running for the school board to city council and now Sheriff?!? Get real dude your boy is a joke and is fishing for any job he can get.

I didn't go to parties with them, donate money to Bob's PAC or get on my knees and swallow like many did to get promoted. They had to do that because they were/are subpar employees. And some also rode their daddy's coattails to get promoted. Or they got the BS degrees from defunct schools or mail order diploma mills. They are corrupt frauds in every way, a disgrace to the LEO profession.

This azzhole is everything a true leader is not. “Leaders” don’t b!tch on a blog site about other men. True leaders don’t gossip - they put their people before themselves and make the best of what they have. True leaders don’t need to tell others how great they are - their greatness shows in their work and how they conduct themselves. This guy is a little *****/snake in the grass that whines like a little baby when he doesn’t get his way. Leaders don’t blame others for what they don’t have or can’t achieve on their own. This azzclown blames other people because he hasn’t climbed higher than where he is now. In reality he probably shouldn’t be in the position he is in currently because he’s shown his true colors and should not be in a leadership position. In the corporate world this pansy would be a mediocre employee at best and would not have reached any type of managerial position.

You just described Bob when he went begging to Coats for a legal counsel job, fresh out of law school because no other firm would hire him and the PD's office did not want him.

As far as platforms, they are virtually identical now that Bob changed his mind and is in favor of body cams and helped create an independent board with SPPD and BLM to investigate serious incidents.

Santana has an MBA degree. How many people in the agency have MBAs? Not talking about those bogus bachelor mail order degrees from Mountain U or the defunct Tampa College.

Santana has a good shot at beating Bob and that has the administration suck ups scared. Especially the double dippers who know they will be leaving if Santana wins. Their undeserved ranks and money will be gone and they will have no lives, nobody will kiss up to them for favors. They will be civilians with no authority and prestige, which is unthinkable to them.

The Democrat party finally has a credible candidate they can support vs Bob Gualtieri. Plus Santana has the Latino vote. There are more registered Democrats than Republicans in Pinellas County and they have the momentum. That's why Bob's double dipping supporters are in a panic. They know there is a distinct possibility that Bob might lose and they will be out on the street.
