You can order a pizza on twitter, email, text and all these other apps. We should be able to call for a x70, x69, road ranger or whatever that way too.

By the way, Road Rangers are worthless.
Where in the hell are the FHP CSO’s ?

What you fail to see is the disconnect that exist between Troopers and Civilian staff. Troopers think they know the job that the civilian staff does, but in reality, they don't. The Crash Records clerks, the supply folks, and the other clerks all have different hurdles and challenges in their jobs. Look at what their pay is compared to yours. That being said, THEY don't fully understand the Trooper's challenges either. The crash records clerks might understand the difficulty of dealing with the public, but they never had to deal with someone on the side of the road, belligerent, and upset as traffic whizs by at 80MPH.

Maybe the solution is everyone walks a mile in each other's shoes. Perhaps having a assigning someone from each squad spending time in the call center, taking calls. Another one spending some time in supply or issuing crash records. By the same token, maybe we need to putting our dispatchers and civilian personnel in mandatory ride-alongs for a week or so. Or minimally, make then watch in-car- camera videos.

We can't understand each other, until we see how each other does their job. It will not get better till it does. If every citizen knew what was on the dispatch screen in order, they could be trained to call in and know who they are, where they are, what happened, what is the tag, and the name of the other party. Oh yeah, pigs fly on a daily basis. Because we all know the public will never be trained that way.

You get what you pay for. Dispatchers are paid horribly, therefore only bottom of the barrel applicants apply.

They’re trying to input calls, deal with some trooper who doesn’t speak English running a VIN for the 20th time while having someone yelling in their ear that they’re out of gas and don’t know where they are and why road ranger wasn’t there 5 minutes ago.

    This isn’t a fair fight.
Not in TBRCC. There are call takers there

You were good until you pulled the racist thing. Now no one respects you. Whining millennial that's all you are.

Because the starting pay for dispatch is $26k/Uncertified and $29k/Certified a year, with no significant hope for any sort of increase. People come in, get their years of exp, then move on to other agencies.

And we have a winner. Every major problem can be traced back by the bare minimum salary the state pays...I too left for a better paying agency with 10 years less to retire.
