A college degree shows nothing but obedience to sit in a classroom and remember information to pass an exam. An entry level LEO or CO needs nothing but common sense or street smarts to answers calls of service or glorified babysitting. Common sense comes from living life. The learning process is accelerated with a good father or mother who acts as a mentor. It can be further accelerated in adulthood by a mentor-in-the-business. A Bachelors degree will not provide common sense, but conversely, I would not want to leave home without it.

If your CJ employer will pay for your degree, then why not partake in a regionally accredited online program? For example, if you already have your AA degree, then you can finish your Bachelors degree 100% at FGCU:

I would much rather work side by side with a military veteran over a college graduate any day. I know several college grads that have no common sense or street smarts. A veteran earns his degree from the "University of Hard Knocks" and you don't have to question his loyalty or trust.
