    Crash cover up by investigators

I’m saddened to learn that investigators collaborated together to cover up evidence and be dismissive about their crash and internal investigation which caused the life of this poor gentleman. It is disgusting and completely unethical how Internal affairs supervisors swept information under the carpet and did nothing to properly interview all of his witnesses. This crash investigator kept this camera hidden for days inside his drawer, allotting needed days for this other officer in question to retire without being interviewed for his involvement. Numerous officers interviewed except him. All investigators and officers involved in this criminal act shall be demoted, transferred and terminated. This is totally uncalled for. Luckily for this victim, there was a witness who unfortunately almost died and some limited gathered video. It’s bothering to see how these same supervisors get to cover up for selected and chosen individuals who have no respect for their jobs or for persons interests and rights. CIP please continue to do your due diligence to drain this swamp of lawless and corrupted sworn members who continue to benefit from victimizing the public and tarnishing our badges.

The IA investigator Sgt Ivone Valdes was told to cover it up by her husband Lt Alex Valdes who also worked the detail.

Ok, so let me understand , you are saddened because an officer did not get punished in you opinion in a circumstantial case but you don't even mention once the wanted be hoodlum that decided to speed on a motorcycle without any regards for the safety of the passenger in the bike , you don't mention that the biker could have at least pull over and let the passenger out or perhaps not to speed at all , i guess personal responsibilities of your own actions is not in you like all liberals go back to read the communist manifesto and blame everyone except your own actions and decisions

If you have two cents for a brain and you’ve done time on the road, you definitely know not to attempt or engage a motorcycle. A motorcyclist will taunt you and reel you in. Why place yourself in such predicament. The traffic unit investigator and the internal affair supervisor shall be held responsible for such cover up and attempt to hinder, destroy, dismiss and maliciously poorly investigate this crime. All seen reports are cut and paste and all read the same. These guys who all once worked for the traffic, marine and motors unit deliberately covered up the death of this Latino male who was someone’s father, husband, son and human being. Plain and simple. A marked unit engaged him causing him to flee in fear and kill him self. Then the department and it’s involved all knit friend members fabricate a lack of evidence case in order to save the department and its chosen few. Trust me, internal affairs and these selected supervisors would never defend you if you were not part of there group. CIP and our chief, please look further into this and remove these unethical and biased members who showed no remorse or sympathy towards this Cuban rider who lays in heaven looking down at our city and department for needed justice. Dear chief, you have the power to do right by the majority of members who always positively represent our department. Don’t allow these few detectives and internal affairs supervisors hinder our reputation.
