Chief Acevedo must do what is right and conscientious for our community and revamp the entire internal affairs section. We are entitled to a unit free of malicious and corrupt investigators who for years have covered up only for their friends and families. This crash cover up is totally criminal and against all principles of our profession. City hall will be interviewed soon by the press and its expected actions of the chief.

Here we go again! Another alleged crash cover up by Miami Police investigators led by famous Captain Cancer. Luckily this cover up does not involve innocent victims. Why are city officials allowing for these same officers to investigate critical incidents?? Internal Affairs has failed the department and the community. We must have the Feds inquire about these wrongdoings. The Rickenbacker Causeway crash cover up was totally unacceptable and no one has taken corrective actions to do right by the victim’s family. Now we again fail our members and community leaders by expecting these same investigative team to investigate the Chiefs alleged hit and run crash.
