Numerous letters and emails have been sent and received. Like any delicate inquiry or investigation, it takes time and special attention. We as police officers and public officials, are held to a higher degree and standards. We must serve and protect our citizens, free of malice and deception. We must act accordingly always and adhere to basic principles of honesty. We must be free of racism or bias towards any race or couture. These motorcyclists were targeted and wrongfully treated. Many officers are riders, and we feel the pain and suffering induced to our fellow riders and he, who sacrificed his life. Justice must prevail.

We must ascertain confidence in our department and make sure these costly and unethical incidents don’t ever occur again. We must set an example and demonstrate to the new recruits, that citizens we serve, deserve the ultimate respect and treatment. We must treat people as if they were our family members. We hire college graduates and most are cold hearted and unaware of how to nourish a relationship we the public. It’s not all about looking cool in tattoos and being on your phones all day.

We must show transparency at all costs. We are extremely lucky to have a chief who cares about his organization and citizens. We must strive for excellence and assure for cover ups and unethical behavior to cease immediately. We will not condone to mistreatment of the public and dismissive attitudes.

The next chief will determine if this dude stays or gets terminated. Way too much conflict of interest for our now chief to determine this before he resigns.

We will have a new appointed Chief soon and this unethical behavior among members will be a thing of the past. Our Chief now, must grab the bull by its horn and terminate these members who violated the law and the trust of our citizens. This cover up is a disgrace to our organization and our new Chief shall not be placed in such detrimental position in having to decide which corrective actions must be taken to clean up our image and, apologize to the deceased motorcyclist. This gentleman was a son, a husband, a cousin and a law abiding citizen. The officers and superiors involved must be held accountable and be terminated. We have no room for corrupted cops in this department. Thank you Chief and please address this painful matter.
