My cousin works in a small department outside of Boston. His wife was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. She is in remission after battling the cancer for two years at a cost of 1.2 million dollars. Will our healthcare trust cover our spouses is this happens to us. What if the healthcare trust got hit with four of of souses got cancer at the same time. Is there enough money in the trust fund to cover our loved ones in they come down with cancer or COVID-19?

So this poster above is correct they can not come in and enforce any state statue they want. We will wait for your apology but my guess you won’t even though you are wrong.
    What about a militia.

Let’s hope Tampa doesn’t end up like Portland. Liberal mayor having her city invaded by criminals and gives a stand down order to police. This is an act of Treason and these mayors, police Chiefs, governors should be arrested.

I think some of you have missed the point. First of all Jane chimed in for no reason other than to put the attention onto her (narcissistic imo) because Tampa Fl was never in the cards unlike Portland, Seattle, Chicago and Detroit. Now for the rights of Federal Officers to deploy. Those that say the FSS 901.1505 is not relevant are mistaken. If any sworn Federal officer were to be travelling to any location for any official reason (say Fowler Ave when protesters were rioting) and their vehicle was stopped by said protesters. Once the first rock or bottle is thrown at them the Federal Government could send in 200 members to arrest any and all persons who committed any violent misdemeanor or felony. Read carefully 901.1505 2a which states "To make warrantless arrest of any person who has committed a felony or misdemeanor as defined by state statute , which felony or misdemeanor involves violence, in the presence of the officer while the officer is engaged in the exercise of her or his federal law enforcement duties"....may make warrantless arrest for same. So the Mayor, Chief or Governor can't stop them from coming to any location in Florida if the above scenario unfolded today. Only the legislative repeal of FSS 901.1505 could do that.

Correct The original poster said they can come in and enforce “ANY” Florida statue on the book. So he is wrong.

This idiot was completely wrong. They said "FEDS can not enforce Florida law". The first poster needed to qualify that "ANY" misdemeanor or felony if it involves violence/which is most of them except morals, economic and minor thefts.

Afternoon TPD folks. I left TPD and went FBI and was stationed in Tampa for sometime after the academy. They have the FBI version of holdover/FTO and this topic is covered. State law says we can take action if a violent crime occurs while performing our specific functions as Federal Officers. However Federal Mandates prohibits us from arresting anyone on any State Laws. We are told if these cases arise we can detain and call locals to make the arrest and process the charges. So this poster is completely correct. But don’t take my word for it on this annoying website you can call the US Attorney’s office or any of the agency ASAC’s. The exception to this is US Marshals. Stay safe.
