Sarasota Sheriff Election on August 18

The public demands three strong character-traits in an elected sheriff:

1. Integrity: Trust must be earned, but it is easier to lose - forever.
   .
2. Competence: A conceited attitude is no substitute for competence.
   .
3. Humility: A true leader inspires subordinates by his actions towards them, but a bean counting manager is condescending to anyone who approaches him.

When integrity, competence or humility is missing, then a three-legged leadership-stool cannot stand.

Elected offices should be held to high moral standards. That's why it is important for voters to make an informed choice about the candidate(s) that they choose. Integrity and honesty matter.

Paul Fern never mentioned Kurt Hoffman's failed lie detector test (not even once). Hoffman's history of lying stands on it's own.

Kurt Hoffman becomes extraordinarily defensive when tough issues are presented to him, but his huffiness is not an appropriate response. What is even more remarkable is his unwillingness to answer specific hardball issues that remain resolved, such as lying under oath while taking an official polygraph.

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner said his office has mailed more than 127,000 ballots to Sarasota voters and as of Tuesday, more than 57,000 have been returned. With less than a week to go until the election, it might be too late to cast your ballot by mail — so consider dropping it off at an election site by 7 p.m. Aug. 18, when polls close on election day.

Not sure why you quoted me, I’m simply stating I wouldn’t vote for Fern because he’s proven he’s just pandering to get votes... Should’ve run as a Democrat since he’s kissin everyone’s a$$es and just telling them what the want to hear to get elected
