The sheriff says the public doesn’t have confidence in police agencies investigating their own agencies so we will have other agencies investigate our agency’s use of deadly force policy. If this is so then why would the public have confidence in other agencies investigate our agency’s in use of deadly force when they are still law enforcement. Question? Which use of deadly force policy are we using? SO, Clearwater or St.Pete. Is the investigating agency going to use our policy or their policy. If it is our policy, do they have to learn our policy too. Or are they going to have a deadly force policy in pinellas county which favors St. Pete PD policy which will change our policy dramatically. Imagine, if you pull your firearm out of your holster that you will have to do a use of force and blue form. This is going to be a mess.

Soooo you’re saying BLM or any other BS organization is going to be pleased with a local agency running point. These f***s aren’t looking for anything other than control and our supreme leader just gave them that. So to answer your question....yes bring on FDLE or the FBI, at least I’d get a fair shake unlike SPPD.

Better respond slow to the calls and clean up the aftermath after it’s over. Not worth being charged with a crime and being sued. The sheriff just caved into BLM. The liberals are here.

The sheriff is in charge of the county and the sheriff should investigate all LEO shootings in the county. The sheriff sees overall the other city agencies in the county. As for the sheriff to allow other city agencies to investigation his deputies shootings is unacceptable. It says he doesn’t have the confidence in his homicide detectives and is caving into BLM who is the former Black Panther Party. What difference if his agency investigates his own shootings or another agency investigates. It’s still police investigating other police officers or deputies. Sounds weak and caving into the liberal media during an election year.

We should just establish a metropolitan police department and restore sanity to St. Petersburg. Violence and drug trafficking are going to increase dramatically and I'm sick of seeing criminals from St.Petersburg zipcodes coming into the rest of the county with impunity. It isnt a race thing. Decent black people dont deserve this anymore than the rest of the countys citizens.
Take a drive through any of the areas outside of old northeast that sppd is responsible for. Its completely out of control. You literally cant drive down avenues without having to stop for drug transactions. Its like stopping for a school bus its so normal.
I'll say it again. The normal black citizens ive talked to dont want this. They dont want dope and guns and violence. Stop pandering to the savages.

One step closer to body cams and a civilian review board to investigate all the LEO shootings and uses of force in the county. Thank you Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. There is no difference between you and Santana.

Seems like command wants to have cake and eat it. Don’t work that way many will be very hesitant to use any force now and cops will get hurt
