If this is so then why would the public have confidence in other agencies investigate our agency’s in use of deadly force when they are still law enforcement. Question? Which use of deadly force policy are we using? SO, Clearwater or St.Pete. Is the investigating agency going to use our policy or their policy. If it is our policy, do they have to learn our policy too. Or are they going to have a deadly force policy in pinellas county which favors St. Pete PD policy which will change our policy dramatically. The sheriff is in charge of the county and the sheriff should investigate all LEO shootings in the county. The sheriff sees overall the other city agencies in the county. As for the sheriff to allow other city agencies to investigation his deputies shootings is unacceptable. It says he doesn’t have the confidence in his homicide detectives and is caving into BLM who is the former Black Panther Party. What difference if his agency investigates his own shootings or another agency investigates. It’s still police investigating other police officers or deputies. We should just establish a metropolitan police department and restore sanity to St. Petersburg. Violence and drug trafficking are going to increase dramatically and I'm sick of seeing criminals from St.Petersburg zipcodes coming into the rest of the county with impunity. It isnt a race thing.
