Google frowns upon this practice called denial of information. Google can be notified and already has been. But if enough people report it they will fix it I. A snap.

Do a google search for his name including Sarasota-scroll to the bottom of that results page and tap Feedback. Fill out the box and file a complaint. They are usually quick to fix the problem and adjust the fake algorithm They actually hate this process of DOI

Sorry, Paul Fern has no chance

Paul Fern is a great guy, we worked together and no doubt he is the better choice. But being here in Sarasota for over 30 years, I’m here to tell you Paul has no chance of bearing the ordained sheriff elect Kurt Hoffman. The selection of who becomes the chief law enforcement official for Sarasota county is not made by the voters or LEO Affairs. It’s made by a very small group of wealthy residents (always has been this way) who invest HUGE dollars into the campaign of the person selected. It is the the #1 priority seat for this wealth group. They then control much of the criminal enterprise and investigations that take shape in the county. The investors spend a lot to insure that and while they remain anonymous their accountant Eric Robinson remains the front man. Mr. Robinson controls the millions place in PACs and is given the authority to do what he needs to to win the race. Hoffman is the chosen one and will win. Nothing anyone can do to change that. Hoffman’s campaign office is in Robinson’s accounting office for god sakes. He is also Robinson’s Kids Godfather. The fail safe is the #2 priority office to control, the State Atty, which just in case media pressure was placed on the sheriff to investigate someone, they know it can be washed down the road prior to prosecution. It’s a system like none other. When other candidates ran before who they thought would not play along with the system rules those candidates were quickly washed out of any possible victories. Think about it? Gustafson, Dunklee, Lavarello, Bell, Hogle....All raises $$ but they were not the ordained chosen candidate. So when Dunklee said he would not commit to bending law enforcement, Robinson was given authority to find a candidate that would. Chris Knight (head of FHO was originally chosen, but had legal issues) so brother Tom who didn’t even live in Sarasota was chosen and agreed. In closing, the deal is done. Hoffman was ordained and will win. Nothing Paul Fern can do or say will change that as you will see come Election Day.

    Thumbs up

At a historical and intuitive level, it seems that the above post is correct. Conversely, it means that the Sarasota Sheriff's Office will remain incredibly turbulent.

Fascinating read! Especially the part about manipulating or controlling both the sheriff -- and the SAO as a back-up.

Regarding who constituents will vote for: Is it possible that the constituents will vote contrary to the wishes of those who control the developers purse strings? Or do the big money-men have enough political juice to influence voters in the way that the money-men want? This question is asked because an incumbent is not in the election.

Based upon my experiences over the last 30 years, it doesn't matter that an incumbent is not in the race. It helps if the incumbent endorses one of the candidates but the truth of the matter is that the big political machine influences the election. The "contributors" are the same person(s) with numerous businesses or business connections and the large amounts of money then go to advertising. When there is a large amount of money available the machine is then able to buy a lot of signs to put up all over town. The general population is clueless as to who to vote for but if they see a name they recognize, they'll vote that way even though they never investigated that candidate. That's what Hoffman is banking on since he has been chosen by the corruption machine. aka the Republican Party of Sarasota County (RPOSC).

Remember when Bumbling Billy was running after Monge retired? He had the backing of the party and they did the same thing. So since Bumbling Billy covered up his illegal activity by wiping a laptop eve after a court order prohibited it and he tried to steal the office chair the taxpayers paid for when left it would appear that the RPOSC is trying to repeat history by pushing a thief that supported violating court order of Judge Williams.

That's how the people are influenced.

The next sheriff of Sarasota County needs to be a man of integrity:

When constituents have access to all the facts, they always make the correct choice. Eric Robinson has directed Republicans to vote for Kurt Hoffman, a man who has previously lied under oath. Robinson is also the godfather (of Hoffman's child). When constituents do not have access to all the facts, then many of them will do what they are told, sometimes with bad political outcomes. Will voters have all the facts in the upcoming election? God alone knows.

    Hey Ol timer,

Years back, you would be 100% correct. But, this is a new day and age and the money controlled by Eric Robinson is NOT going to win it for KH. In fact, Robinson is in so much trouble right now (and he even knows it) that anything could happen. With this said, Sarasota County will elect new blood in August. The days of wrapping it all up over PAC money that was funneled in through people like 1-800-ASK-GARY and others are not going to help. Unless he pays off the Supervisor of Election's office to overturn the win for PF, KH is going to lose this one like he did in Charlotte County. The PAC money may buy KH a few more TV ads/time, few more signs but at the end of the day, ALL OF THE LITTLE THINGS will add up and PF will prevail. Laugh now all you want. Get a box of tissues handy for August 18th. And as far as Kurt: one day way back you were a really nice, decent guy. You sold your soul long ago and I am one who thought you would ALWAYS play by the rules and have the utmost integrity. I was wrong and it is rather sad. Run back to Robinson, Gruters and others for plan "B" and consider pulling out before your name is saturated in mud.

Sarasota County will elect Paul Fern. Read it wherever you want, i don't care.

Campaign signs have been proven time and time again not to be effective. There have been hundreds of studies by different political and educational institutions in the last decade alone. 98 percent useless. Here is just one link. Goggle man do some research.
