And this is a very important point. Whatever your motivations are for doing proactive policework, justified or not, when you get involved and the stop goes south, and you all know that it very likely will, you will put your backup deputies on the hook for firing or prosecution. So stop being selfish and stop engaging in activity that will require other personnel to assist. I could envision a time where your backup will not come because they dont need the inevitable crap that will come.
