That is not how it is down here. Here we have a terrified and silent union. The brass from lieutenants up are political machines and do not care about the working officers and are afraid to even go out on the road to 15 on a call when calls are backed up.
If you take off and it is not your regular day off or you are not on preapprove leave you going to be targeted by the command staff. There were meetings about this and they ready. You just going waste a day of your time.

    Your friend,
    The hard truth
Says the tough guy who works any of the alphabet squads or units or HQ, yes ANY of them.
Your units are already OFF on the weekends and on holidays you are ...... on the radio if needed for a call out. Then you put a holiday O.T. slip in for something. Everyone knows how you do.

Spare the B.S. You are just TALKING and leaving the real work representation known as uniform patrol to get sucker in while you sit back and watch.
Besides you disgrace our profession to call out on the 4th of July. Do not contaminate this honorable date and confuse it with a protest. The criminal rioters are already doing that. I guess you are one of them.

    Challenge
Let's make next Tuesday July 7, 2020 the Blue Flu day. That way all ABC district and HQ detective units can join in full force to show their support and dedication. What? What? No?
You pu$$ues will not take that challenge.

Cannot argue with the tailored UNIFORM shirts comment. But it is UNIFORM that works the public view. It is UNIFORM that works weekends and holidays.
Please do show support for this message but let's make sure EVERYONE can JOIN.
Make Friday July 10, 2020 the Blue Flu day.

This way ALL the plainclothes, specialized, HQ bureaus, district detectives, and civilian staff who are OFF ON THE WEEKENDS anyway and don't show up on holidays can prove their point. Walk the walk and walk the TALK.

Most in plain clothes in this department are afraid to work uniform. That why they left it. They cannot handle it with all we have to do and everyone know they do much less than uniform. Look who is there in those spots. No one we can really ask for tough questions and get a real answer. Right SVB? Most are friends and family. If it was a challenge or work they would not be trying so hard to get there and keep hard workers out. Smoke and mirrors.
When they work holidays they not working on cases but they will put in holiday O.T. for a case followup or case management on they O.T. slip.
