Just leave us alone to do our job and stay off the radio. I’ve never seen a police department where the upper brass are always on the police radio for such pity little things like scooters illegally parked vehicles coolers tents on the beach etc. it seems everyone at the top is so job scared it’s embarrassing just attend your meetings continue to come up with meaningless details and stay off the radio.

Blame the Chief
Don’t blame Henry. Blame the Chief. He is solely responsible for the department’s operation. The Chief’s lack of actions demonstrates he approves of Henry’s management style.

What do you expect when our Chief is always on the radio calling of homeless people. Look how no one is volunteering to work July 4th. A double day!!! Also notice how they put the shifts together to reduce the amount of hours to limit the amount on the double day. So you screw is in Patrol with no OT but when you need us you offer OT?

Third Rail
Former Chief Oats was correct when he was asked to change the 4/3 schedule. He said this would bring his administration to its knees. Ricky, you were present.
Obviously you did not take his advice.
Although you have kneeled for the wrong reasons.

Yes he is, and there were early warning signs that were ignored. A few years ago he attended a leadership and management course attended by members of several agencies. On day one the course instructor told us that we were all equal while in his course. As such, he requested that we forgo wearing any rank insignia or uniforms during the course. Casual dress would be fine. Who showed up the next day with his captains bars? You guessed it. The instructor politely pointed out, again, that he did not want anyone wearing or pulling rank during the course. Who showed up the next day wearing a polo shirt with "Captain" embroidered on it? You guessed it. This made HD a target of the instructor, (and the butt of jokes) for the remainder of the course.
In one segment of the course the instructor asked HD which task he would address first. Overseeing the repainting and striping of the parking garage, or a 44 in the lobby of the station. You guessed it. After that the instructor told a couple of attendees that he saw where MBPD's problems might lie. And yet, here we are.

And there are many behind him that are just as out of there mind as he is and have no leadership skills or new ideas on how to change this agency. The next ones up will do the same thing get on the radio call off meaningless crap and assign stupid details just because that’s what was done before and that’s what they will be told to do. It’s ground hog day here all followers following bad past ideas

Never knew that Don Knox had a brother named Mario. The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.
