Qualified immunity is a legally baseless judicial invention. It has proven unworkable as a matter of judicial doctrine, it routinely denies justice to the victims of egregious misconduct, and it undermines public accountability across the board, especially for members of law enforcement. Whether through judicial reconsideration or legislative action, the time has come to abolish qualified immunity.

No you bought that condo in Key Biscayne. You even sued your Association. You hang out on Brickell talking negative about Cops as and how your client is so innocent.
We need to reevaluate The Florida Bar and its Rules of Ethical Misconduct kind Sir. You decided to come on this police site and harass good hard working Cops.
Tell your clients to stop selling drugs, murdering people, committing armed Robbery Carjackings, and then blaming good cops for being forced to shoot back at them when they shoot or draw their weapons on innocent Cops and civilians.
I get it you lawyers make 400.00 dollars an hour to attack law enforcement. However you do not live in any of the poor ghettos nor do you protect your client after you take most of their settlement.
Legal Merchants and whiners to the high Court is all you guys are. Defend your guardian angels and respect their profession.
I believe your office is off 1 street and east of 2 ave. Please prepare for your latest lawsuit against the County and stay off of our precious cite.
All Cops deserve respect and every dollar they earn.
Any objections sue us!!

Okay so go back almost 11 years to remind Cops of a sting operation gone bad. My question is how much of the settlement did the Attorneys take from their Clients families?
By the way, the STATE Attorney did not file charges, nor did the FBI or FDLE. You must really hate Cops or you are from Ottawa, Canada. Being a Cop is a great profession. Stop bashing good Cops.

For some reason you feel the need to throw stones at Cops. Not all Cops shoot and murder people everyday. No one said that this incident was justified or condoned.
However, to use this Incident to make your argument is insane. You have great Cops who serve and protect their communities daily in Miami-Dade County. There is rarely a police shooting here. Even when there is one, you have to ask yourself, what did the criminal do when he was shot. Was he armed, did he violently resist, why was he driving in a stolen car used in a armed Robbery Carjacking, was he already wanted for murder, did he just robb a bank with a firearm?
Don't make it appear that all Cops kill innocent people or that they wake up saying I'm going to kill someone today. Not all of your criminal clients are innocent. Some if not all are very guilty of horrific crimes. You have every right to defend your clients its constitutional. But Cops have every right to defend themselves and right now as you are reading this post, qualified Immunity is the law.
Please respect the law until Congress changes it. Until then, let the Cops continue to take the criminal scum off the streets of Miami-Dade County.
To use the Redland Incident was quite annoying but it did happen so you get no argument from me there. Only those officers involved know why they shot and used deadly force.

Just like your clients victim did not have the right to shoot and kill a innocent citizen. The victim of your client deserved to live. When your client stole that car in the Arm Robbery Carjacking or shot a person for a Facebook post, did you consider the victim did not deserve it.
Of course not. Instead you have your client go along with your false narrative that the victim made it up and it was a crack deal gone bad.
You ever wonder why lawyers do not get sworn in at Court? It is because they are willing to lie and frame a good Cop in order to get paid a large settlement or lawsuit judgement.
