The Chief just brought what could have been a successful Chief legacy to a rapid end. He will end up resigning under pressure to see if the once example of special event agencies can come back to life.

Oates was not perfect by no means and his liberal policing policies were never a good fit, however he rarely messed with our shifts/days off and never held back on OT to get the mission done.

Chief Clements if you or your sorry a$$ PIO that’s suppose to protect you read this, please understand that you are crashing and burning fast. Thank you President MIllan and union reps for the email. Well stated and to the point. Another issue with the new staffing plan is it violates their own supervisory rule : the Moraga Rule
Span of supervision should be no more than 6-8 officers this is also supported by none other than PERF and the exact supervisor school that you sent me to Chief Clements. This staffing plan has supervisors supervising way above those numbers. And if I’m incorrect on the numbers you will be short staffed again just like your 7 on 7 off. So once again you could care less as long as you get your way.
FOP we have been patient enough with 7 months of jerking us around time to stand up to this chief and quit allowing him to drive us in the ground.
File the lawsuit and a vote of no confidence. Time to stick together and stop the madness by the tyrant.

Time for the crooked city manager to bring in chief WJ to fix this mess. Hell WJ was the first pick anyways and still the chief of the future. I hate to say it but old Dan Oates was right when he said Ricky will have this agency a mess in 6 months.
