Wasn't someone with same last name FIRED from Fort Myers PD for being found "UNTRUTHFUL". What is the difference in a untruthful statement and perjury? Can someone please explain what and how Brady list works?

A time like what? So what you're saying is accountability, answering serious concerns about integrity - there's times it doesn't matter? Whoever asked that question, they are a citizen, probably a voter, and entitled to know. It seems like their question really put you on the defense. Why? Are you part of the problem mentality that "do as we say, not as we do", that presuming you are law enforcement and a form of special "warrior class" exempt from questioning? YOU, my friend by jumping on someone calling them a "POS", how would have you reacted in person? Escalated into a physical confrontation because you couldn't handle a question? Go right to spray, tase, and creative writing to win and nurse your ego? Worse, based on what seems like the consequences of being on a special SAO do not testify list, would that fictional report be even worth the paper your version of events would document?

Aren't police officers/deputies are held to a higher standard because of the TRUST the power of their positions hold?
Does wearing a badge make you more exempt from accountability? Is that where you are coming from?

That information the poster asked, IS already well established, very public and increasingly more known and the SERIOUS consequences of what Brady List is more understood. Very concerning. It seems like you made a great argument for an entire change in Hendry County. Maybe it's time. Bravo to your response! Feel proud when you look in the mirror in uniform, because no one else is probably isn't of you. How big is that star? Isn't it worn for you to protect and be part of the community to SERVE? Not for anyone to shield anyone from accountability. But only certain times, not now, right? "Because"? How disappointing. Now that you've opened a dialogue, keep on it here. The community is not against deputies, just against the current Sheriff hiring obviously unfit, very completely questionable people. The shooting incident was terrible anytime a deputy is placed in that situation. This isn't about that.

Seriously with their pasts and paper trails why did Steve hire them? It goes to a total different level not like $hit happened, like got a DUI, going through divorce or affair, some bad $hit happened to good cop, etc.. that crap can happen to anyone. But what when it is involved work, anyone who questions is attacked on here? Being accused is one thing but proven is another. Tide is turning nobody like this $hit anytime, but when is the time to clean up?

Good point. When is a good time? When you aren't probably one of the "Shameful 7" ? Present day law enforcement has no place with very questionable pasts, except in Labelle. See you in the future thats really seeming like it's coming to an end for a special group.

7 Hendry County Sheriff's supervisors now exposed as criminals, racists and more
This is now 7 Hendry County Deputies in supervisory/command positions (a captain, lieutenants and sergeants) that have been exposed in just the last 2 months for prostitution, forgery, being fired by other departments, being on the do not testify in court list, withholding evidence, taking evidence from a murder scene, racial slurs and other issues. Sheriff Whidden is responsible for hiring them AND promoting them to supervisory positions.

1) Lieutenant Rowe committed a felony (forgery) as verified by the Collier County Sheriff's Office internal investigation.
2) Captain Weathers was fired by the Fort Myers Police Department and is on the State Attorney's Office (20th) do not testify list.
3) Lieutenant Rowan was fired by the Avon Park Police Department and is on the State Attorney's Office (10th) do not testify list.
4) Lieutenant Favara was fired by the Hendry County Sheriff's Office (rehired by Peaches) for taking evidence from a murder scene and is on video using a racial slur and saying he will make up his own story.
5) Sergeant McNeil was fired by Moore Haven Correctional Institution for using a racial slur leading to other officers having to be called and use of force needed because of what he incited.
6) Lieutenant Beatty paid an informant for sex (prostitution) as outlined in an interview conducted by now HCSO Sergeant Clay and through Facebook communication and reported in Sgt. Clay's internal memo where Lt. Rowan and Sgt. McNeil also were told about it.
7) Sergeant Hester having sex with the same informant while on duty and in his patrol car as outlined in an interview conducted by now HCSO Sgt. Clay and reported in Sgt. Clay's internal memo where Lt. Rowan and Sgt. McNeil also were told about it.

All the information has been verified by investigations from other law enforcement agencies, videos and audio recordings.
The reports and audio recordings are in the stories...just Google the names and Hendry County Sheriff, and you can find them easily. You can read them, see them and hear them for yourself. Too much solid info for all of them to be discredited.
