Well it’s September so out with it already. I see he’s taking a page from the Mike Scott handbook and is going to wait until Sept 30 in an email at 8:00 at night to tell us our raise.

Dogs before Deputies. Think of the amount of money spent with the special animal satellite stations, special vehicles and stickers. When was the last time as much energy and focus was put in to adjusting salaries and raises for the men and women of LCSO? Don’t continue to be satisfied with cost of living increases each year. The county has the money (millions and millions sitting in reserves) to but 20/20 land, what a joke that is. What are you worth? The answer is much more than you are being paid!

Don’t forget the coloring books, the dog trading cards he had made, his $50k office upgrade complete with cherry wood cabinets, the outreach centers which time and time again have been proven by MANY departments to not be effective and just a waste of money! He also had a special vehicle with a stuffed animal made for a pretty penny, and stuffed animals to hand out to kids too. Why give deputies a raise when you just need to make yourself look good to little children and gullible old women who think your animal cruel task force is just so wonderful. We needed a raise and a focus on human trafficking, animals are important but come on, the rate of human trafficking in Southwest Florida of CHILDREN is astronomical compared to animal abuse.
