Raise
Mcdougal was the last Sheriff to actually fight the commissioners for higher pay increases. Scott went along with everything they wanted. Looks like it’s just more of the same ole same ole again. We should not be presenting a budget to the commission asking for 3%!! There’s no room for negotiating. You are worth far more than 3%, and the money is there to give.

I think everything will be fine, they asked for 3% last year and gave 5%. Just my opinion, this Covid situation is catastrophic though.

Covid19 has nothing to do with it, that is just an excuse. The budget is the Sheriffs to spend. If he wanted, he could give a 10% raise but he would have to do without other things. How much are you worth?

669 million in county budget reserves. Still happy with the old go to be happy with the 3 or 4% cost of living increase?

Raises
Instead of adequate pay adjustments and raises lets use out reserves for buying more 20/20 land and some expensive water testing..

Why is the SO only asking for 3% cost of living adjustments in the budget?
