Defunding the Police at MBPD
This city has been at the forefront of this doctrine for several months now via overtime reduction, if not outright elimination. It started with the 7/7 schedule and has continued since we've returned to the 4/3 schedule. Almost everyday and on every shift we are below minimum staffing numbers. We must jump through a thousand hoops before we can hire overtime, to include Acting Sergeants with zero supervisory experience and minimal police experience for that matter. Officer Safety is no longer a priority, or even important for that matter. Shameless!

How many time must you hear they don’t give a crap about you. We are nothing more than a necessary evil. The city officials and the command staff could care less about minimum staffing. Over the last week they have proven they don’t care. And the ones who are acting sergeants good luck let one issue happen while your the supervisor and you will never see the stripes. So you can have it for 1 dollar an hour more.

Fop?
Where is the FOP. No leadership. Failure to stand up to management. Total sell outs. Shame on every board member of the FOP.
