Ahhhh the psychological games we play with citizens, with the law heavily weighted on our side, in case anything unexpectedly goes awry.
If drugs were legalized, then it would put a 100% stop to that crap. Conversely, drugs are VERY bad for society. It's a catch 22.

There is a mentality among some deputies (not all) that the above tactics are justified because "the end justifies the means" i.e. you have to bend or break the law, in order to achieve a solid legal victory. Everyone knows exactly who has that unethical mentality. Those who believe in "bending the law" includes:
    • A very small percentage of rankless deputies (You know who they are and they are quickly promoted).
    • A very small percentage of sergeants.
    • And (not surprisingly) the unethical practice includes almost all SSO staff members i.e. lieutenants, captains, majors, Hoffman and Knight.

Its the bald guy from the bible belt state everyone of has known for years he is a racist and we all turned our heads and said nothing. How proud we must feel working next to him. He is a piece of garbage and I am no better for not saying something. I feel as tho I need to come forward and say something to ease my conscious.

Those kinds of publicized political stunts are not a good fit with First Step of Sarasota and unfortunately, the non-profit board learned the hard way. Seeing and experiencing is believing.
