This union membership is lead by spoiled kids. If they don't get what they want, they cry and pound their feet, and then threaten to do a vote of no confidence. When every union complains publicly about every sheriff whether democrat or republican then you must look at who really is the problem. Is it the Sheriff or the union members. We have a recent history of spoiled, whiny, do nothing deputies that want the best contract, nicest and newest car, and all the time off and less time working or they are not happy and feel unwanted. There isn't any sheriff that can cone in here and give you bit he's everything you want and be able to effectively run the agency with the budget provided. There are alot of employees, unions and personalities to navigate thru. Not everyone is going to be happy or feel satisfied. However, going public with that unhappiness everytime does nothing for our public image and support from the community. They are tired of hearing the complaining. Keep it in house and work together and we will get more with negotiations them threats.

FOPE took Sheriff Israel to court and won A court ruling that they can’t restrict their leave cap to 168 hrs like DLE after they go in the drop and DOD cap is still 320 hrs and they get paid out again with anytime left on the books when they retire, but Jeff Bell has failed to take the Sheriff to court even as the blue print has been laid out for IUPA!!!

What is IUPA really doing they don’t negotiate contracts nor any perks for DLE oh I forgot they do conduct vote of no confidence on Sheriffs!!!
