Humm? I thought Homicide was. No, ECB. Wait no. Is it Robbery? What about Narcotics? Maybe its SVB. OR is the elite the district GIUs? Could it be the NRUs? What about crispy PRT? The list go on and soon we name everything out there in our department. That the problem is we do not have elite. We have different parts of an organization. Some get a spot light. Some do not but we cannot run without them. The backbone of ANY police or sheriff office is uniform. Public don't see unmarked cars and plain clothes and think how safe they can be since they cannot tell a difference from a civilian in a rental with dark tints.
We are a body. The heart, eyes, ears, arms, legs, skin, liver, intestine, lungs, skeliton. Which part do you want to eliminate and say you a complete body? Which is most special? Some you can live wirhout, some you can not.

In this department the disease is the politics. That is what is killing us slowly.

Everyone see the incompotance from politics with each special hire of friend and family that bump a good qualifyd applicant, each promotion list cause they dumb down the test or they get snuck answers. We all know them an they think we don't who they are.
