Pay raise
The pay raise negotiated by our rep and the PBA given to us of a 1.5% raise is a joke for what we have do every day and put our lives on the line to protect this community. It's really sad. USF has a far more bigger budget than the City of Tampa, and they do not want to pay decent wages for the law enforcement provided here.

Chill out people. The PBA got us a 1.5% raise from the University and the State of Florida is giving us a 3% raise.
HB 5001, Florida's balanced budget for fiscal year 2020-2021, includes a 3% across the board raise for all state employees, as well as significant investments in employee health insurance and retirement benefits.

Empty campus, limited fall students on campus, no one to return after thanksgiving means limited cash for usf.
You should worry about layoffs instead of the 1.5 % that every USF employee got just like us.

Are you kidding me...? I wonder if TPD and HCSO are thinking layoffs. Not happening. Those agencies can't even find good qualified people to sign up to be cops. No one wants the job anymore. If you are thinking of applying here don't do it! Like when your friend told you when you were taking that fat girl home from the bar and you were going hogging..."don't do it!". Just don't do it. If you work here and want to apply to another agency and move on with your career, there is a certain Lt. that will ruin your chances of even getting hired by another agency unless they are happy to see you go.
