It is important for all BSO employees to understand that we all are held to a higher ethical standard while on and OFF duty. It is important for them to know that their actions can negatively reflect on the agency and negate all of the hard work that our great employees put into our profession each and every day. We all have a lot of work to do in regaining the trust of the community and it starts with every employee of BSO representing themselves and the agency in a positive light at all times. Leaders must lead by example and make sure that our troops make sound decisions and that they don’t hesitate to intervene when one of our own appears to be crossing the line. We all must be SUCCESSFUL!!!

    Thanks,

Shouldn't the command staff lead by example? Or does the "higher ethical standard" not apply to them on or off-duty? This BS is exactly what we've been saying this entire time. How does the sheriff dance on stage in uniform grabbing his balls pointing at girls in the crowd, lie or omit the truth on law enforcement applications, campaign in uniform, or give out our needed PPE to citizens for potential votes? Which standard should we abide by? This must be the do as I say not as I do speech. So we want to thank you for the words of wisdom! Maybe the command should practice what they preach.

So, according to the Colonel's letter it is imperative that I (as a BSO employee) intervene when someone has crossed the line, so we can all be successful. So do not shoot the messenger, this is a directive directly from the Colonel. Sheriff, based on your actions we will need you to resign immediately. Please turn in ALL of your BSO issued equipment, you may keep the stars, by the close of business Monday. We will need the department heads to sign off on your separation from service form before you leave so that your last check isn't held up. Thank you.

    Signed: Your Employees

I hear Dave is great in bed. Having no spine allows you to get in any sexual position possible.

Just like nicole Anderson wrote that op ed piece praising Tony, here comes the next village idiot trying to spin the crap onto the Deputies. Why don’t you command staff members go look in the mirror and ask why nothing ever happens to you? Two different standard at BSO and that is the root of the problem

Does a directive from a colonel supersede the constitution of the United States and Freedom of Speech? I don’t think so.......
