    Civilians Dressed As The Police

Why is that TPD still allows a select few civilian employees to walk around dressed as police officers? We have a civilian in D2 running around with her khaki 511 pants and polo shirt with the TPD badge embroidered on it, dressed exactly as her police counterpart and the Detectives there. Shame on her Dad for not pointing out that her charade is going to get her or another officer killed out there when someone mistakes her for an actual officer. It isn't like she is hiding her attire as she prances around the district without a care in the world. I guess it will be okay until something happens and then everyone will want to sue the Department. Nothing with a TPD badge on it should be sold to or allowed to be worn by civilian employees...period

Get up in somebody’s face and see if they can handle a perp in a street fight. Then can they have a badge in your opinion?

Don’t play the tough guy (or gal..) because you’ve heard enough war stories to fancy yourself a part of them. Either go to the academy, pass, and get hired on or lose the costume.

She did finally get accepted and is supposed to start in Sept. D2 staff is aware of her routine, dressing like an officer, on the police radio all day and prancing around the district like she owns it. Nobody is going to do anything to her, she has made it clear she runs the show there.

You would think that with all the years that her dad has been a cop here, he would pull her aside a fix the problem himself. He has to know that running around here wearing a police badge and dressed like a cop is going to get her hurt or killed. I guess it wont be an issue until something happens and then everyone will deny knowing about it. Typical TPD fashion

There are also numerous posts/pics of them on Facebook in which the main caption says “officers from d2” lol.... they don’t want to be called by their actual titles because they think they’re too good for it.

A cop doing a civilian's job and a civilian who thinks she is a cop. Do we have any civilians in D2 that actually do work?
