    Where you at

For a sheriff that has been on tv for everything lately, why is Whidden not on there now telling us what happened. No PIO?

The only things which matter, are the deps are ok? will the deps be election year sacrifices? did they lawyer up to protect their rights. a block party with 400-500 people. safe bet there were more guns at that "block party" than there were on duty.

That’s where he was. No back up. No plan. No leadership.

Separate the Sheriff from the deputies here.

Whatever the Sheriff was doing or not at the time of the incident is irrelevant.

What is relevant is 3 deputies were involved in an incident, a "block party", of 400-500 people, who basically had a "F the police" attitude "we do what we want, etc etc" "this is our community", the same crowd when lawfully ordered to disperse, refused.

If you know how to read, above the junior high level, read the https://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2018/Chapter870, "CHAPTER 870 AFFRAYS; RIOTS; ROUTS; UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLIES"

The deputies showed remarkable restraint. Critique the Sheriff all you want. Not the deputies.

The deputies were placed in a horrible position. Lack of planning ,organization and ,leadership This event did not surprise us. People knew it was going to occur. Nothing was done to prepare for it. Look at 101s Facebook post he knew what happens at these block parties. He left the deputies out to hang.

    The fault goes beyond 101.

"Lack of planning ,organization and ,leadership" ..... all the way down to the Lt level.

This incident will completely illuminate how lower than incompetent any of the white shirts are.

Whidden doesn't think much beyond keeping track of how many strings are tied to him and maybe get his freak on... 102, too stupid to do much except sweat and mumble.

The deputies were placed in a bad position, you don't even need to look as high as 101, but 101 is responsible for making dangerously incompetent people Lts and Captains. The "leadership" of the deputies, who FAILED the deputies are the ones who should be openly critiqued for not putting a plan in place. This FAILURE is where the lawsuits should be aimed,

The deputies are the victims of unable, unqualified management.

Whidden, with all his as a "hometown" Sheriff knew very well from his experience that mass gathering called a "block party" where open public intoxication, marijuana, disorderly conduct, lewd behavior, simple possession (and then some), felons in possession of firearm, are the standard behavior.

Your right they were put in a bad spot due to lack of training and very poor supervision at all levels. The whole agency needs a total overhaul in the area of training. The leadership from the Sheriff all the way down to the road Sgt’s is very sad thing.

YOU'RE right. Let the total overhaul begin with YOUR training in basic writing. You must be a paper master of training YOURself..... Sneak rat.
