Someone tell state the truth about your IG’s please. I know a guy with 29 years of service who retired as a Deputy Chief from the County, has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, graduated from both SPI and FBINA, never in trouble, no internals, never arrested, authored his former agency’s policy on internal investigations and spearheaded their accreditation who applied for one of the IG positions in S. Florida, interviewed only to be left waiting in the wings for months on end. After 9 months of waiting, he called DOC and was told that he dis NOT meet their hiring standards. Lol 😂 ? Sometime later, by and through another source, DOC hired a less experienced person who had been under investigation when he left his former agency, had tried drugs and had been suspended a few times for dept. policy violations. It’s obvious that not only os your system broken, it is completely shattered.

Lol. 29 years and never been in "trouble"? If anybody spends 5 years in Law Enforcement they will have complaints (IA'S) lodges against them. If you did have 29yrs under your belt it must have been a 2 man department where you were the chief/Lt. Sounds like a pencil pusher
