Yea bud. You’re full of Sh$t. It doesn’t matter what the county commission says when it comes to mergers. The sheriffs office just merged with Hallandale Beach fire rescue a couple months ago lol. Secondly, if Miramar Pd can’t police the streets of Miramar, then the sheriffs office would have to step in anyways and police the streets as per law. The County is not going to loan me money that they know the city won’t be able to pay back. There is no bill that will be drafted to get Miramar out of the mess that it is in. Miramar is not a Hollywood where it has tourism in fancy restaurants and rich people to help them get back on their feet. The vast majority of Miramar‘s money comes from its housing, which the majority is low income housing.
BSO would be a breath of fresh air DESPITE their current problems. I know for a fact that you wouldn’t be fired, transferred to the ghetto, made to work in the jail, or any of that. That’s 100% BS. Doubt it? Ask the Deerfield guys. Ask Oakland Park. Ask Pompano. BSO will merging with Hallandale PD soon. It only makes sense MPD does the same. The do nothings of MPD will be road Deps and that’s that. No big deal. It’s coming either way

Many people don't like the FRS, but think about this. Yes, its 30 years, but you get 3% per year. You also only contribute 3% from your paycheck. If you do the 30 years, you get 90% pension of your 5 highest years. Overtime and details are included. Even for a 2-3 year deputy its not hard to make 6 figures.

Hey bud! Call BSO Personnel this morning and ask them. Then call a county commissioner (any of them) and ask them.
Deerfield ,Oakland Park and Pompano have been "contract cities" for at least 10 years. Call each city finance department and ask them if they pay the county for police services.
Stop flapping your gums with made up sh*t! Tell these people the truth! JESUS CHRIST!!!

Why would BSO want a department that is overloaded with community resource officers who know nothing and do absolutely nothing? The last sheriff lost his job over a school resource officer who had no tactical skills or knowledge, and was a chicken shit. Why would BSO want all the SRO's that we have? By comparison they would make BSO's SRO's look like combat trained rocket scientists. Why would the want Captains the likes of KN or JS? Why would they want to inherent our sergeants, half of whom are inept. The City of Lauderdale Lakes has been a giant pain in BSO's ass due to high crime, a terrible commission, and continued misses payments. Why in the hell would the want to add Miramar that would be just like it? It would be like jabbing an icepick in their own eye. For several years our best have been going to other agencies, leaving us with those who can't get hired, or those too far along to leave, but whom are very tired. Does anyone think that the City of Miramar and it's police department would be any kind of prize that BSO would want? What possible benefit would be in it for them? To hope that BSO would want us is like hoping that you win the lottery; hope and reality are two different things. Truly believing that they would want MPD is nothing but a coping mechanism for someone struggling with the reality of this daily shit show we live in.
