Was there a violent felony or posed a danger to the public at large predicate to this police pursuit, err "following?" If not, we harken back to City of Pinellas Park v. Brown, FL SC (1992). Here is Pinellas' most salient point.

"We do not suggest, however, that the police must allow every lawbreaker to escape merely because a hot pursuit is occurring. Deference will be shown to the reasonable decisions of law officers to maintain pursuit of certain offenders who are reasonably thought to be violent or to pose a danger to the public at large. What is required is for police to use reasonable means in light of the nature of the offense and threats to safety involved. For example, a high-speed chase is likely to be justifiable if its object is a gang of armed and violent felons who probably will harm others. As we have stated elsewhere, deference will be shown to police conduct when *1228 officers must choose between two different risks that both will adversely affect public safety."

We wish the officer or officers involved good luck.

They already claimed that the car fled from them... the didn’t chase at all. Except that the K9 Sgt threw them under the bus when he advised the dispatcher of PST working a perimeter. They were too busy setting up a perimeter on the PST channel instead of requesting rescue. Is that it?

Listen at the end do you honestly think anyone is going to admit that they were chasing a vehicle that just killed someone and critically injured two others while traveling 100 mph? And for Traffic! Please we’re stupid but not that stupid.

Well is very simple , once they get the offender don't you think that he's going to talk to his lawyer ands tell him that someone was chasing him and he was so scared that took off at high speed , nobody drives at that speed and so reckless unless they have a reason .
