3 months later, admin enforces temperature checks and bands prior to our shifts. Okay, no prob, the majority of the other agencies are doing it. What gets me is while waiting for lunch today I see our chief, no mask and no blue band. I recall RR saying if anyone is spotted without band and/or mask will be escorted out of the building. I sat and waited for the cavalry to arrive escort him to the door, but to my surprise(not) nothing happened. How can you make rules and say you’re going to enforce them but don’t? Is he not suppose to abide by the rules as well? Why didn't you approach the Chief about it? Tell the chief how you feel , what's the worsts that can happen you end up on the road. You are on the road. Grow some balls and don't air your grievance here. Be a man/lady and tell your Admin how you feel. Tell your union president to step up and address those concerns. Be careful what you wish for!!!!!! It can get a lot worst if we have a chance up top. Yes!!!! I agree that the rest of the admin are f'ing lap dogs the chief. Yes IA is a joke. But you know what, take the f'ing test and make a change. We were dealt a bad hand with the current crew of Capt. and Maj it's to late now. You didn't have it to take out
these incompetentt supervisors, but move on MF's. Shut the F-up!!! Run for the Union, grow some balls, protect your fellow officers and make a change. Don't be afraid to approach the admin and tell them how you feel, debate them. They shit themselves when confronted. But stop coming here, these politicians use this as a tool to mess with us. Keep it up and we'll end up like North Miami was a couple years ago.

Interesting.... now that we take our own temperature, I've been stricken with a 300 degree fever almost everyday, and noone has challenged me. I may of dropped the temperature device one to many times. Sweaty palms..

Check your grammar. Not all leaders lead from the top. Listen to those who have the balls to speak out in person. They probably don’t waste their time posting here. The problem is that if you want to be heard, you have to kiss ass, not take a test.

I am questioning besides the Chinese made malfunctioning temperature devices that show all officers legally dead and the paper towel dispenser that we were so graciously blessed with by the city, what else was done for the troops? Why is it that an officer from our department had to be the one to do this? Where is the city in all this? We had 2 masks given to us and some donated by other businesses. Yet we have a full time EOC up and running.

Que stupido. All you do is complain. If they gave you all full hazmat suits, you would complain “they are making us wear too much”, they give you masks and gloves, “they only have us mask and gloves”. No matter what they do, you will always find some way to complain. If you don’t like something, speak up. Their doors are always open. But, this is a PUNK way to express yourself.
