He gave up his senior year of football and the coach told the News paper that he was approached by Phony Tony and Tony explained to the coach that after 9/11 he heard the call to arms and was leaving For OCS ( Marine Corp Officer Candidate School ). So that's how the roomer started. It started by a lie to the FSU coach and was printed in the paper. Haling Tony as a hero that was leaving to fight for his country. What really happened Leon County had a warrant out for his arrest and Tony fled to PA. he was picked up a year later.
There is no documentation of him applying to the military it was just another verbal lie to the FSU coach.

5 months before the murder he was Tony. Seems like when he stays by his mama's house (3141 N 8TH ST), he goes by Tony. When he is by his daddy's house (2828 N Hutchinson ST), he goes by Toney.
