COVID19 Beach Patrol
Does nobody see a problem with Deputies/Detectives being pulled from working actual crimes to monitor people on the beach to ensure they're staying 6 feet apart? Who cares about robberies, fraud, kids being raped or abused, burglaries, etc. All this agency cares about right now is saving face on the news when people start hitting the beaches Monday. Look at all the wasted manpower with a Deputy at every beach access in the county. The sheriff said in a press conference a few weeks ago that people were not being pulled from their normal duties to enforce this because there were so many SROs and other Deputies that were freed up. Someone wasn't telling the truth when you have narcotics, economic crimes,, and violent offender warrant detectives answering BS tips about people standing too close in stores and now probably 200 or more Deputies/Detectives being pulled from their normal assignments to stand around on the beach to police people standing too close. They should not have opened the beaches if people cannot be trusted. Let Deputies do their actual jobs!

Your job description is to do exactly as you are told. It’s not your place to decide the best use of manpower. You don’t get a vote. So get on post and STFU.

I might work at the will of the Sheriff but to enact a police state on the beach is unconscionable stupidity. If you believe that patrol has been hyper active think again. Very little self initiated activity. Then the preferred no arrest policy. The detectives have been neutered to phone calls and no in person interviews. So puss ass patrol puke shut your hole.

Yo sign me the f@ck up for a 12 hour Netflix post on the beach! Who cares about rapes, murders, thefts, robberies, and the tidal wave of narcotics flooding into our county.

When a criminal victimizes someone in your family, and they have everyone on the beach, don't be b!tching that nobody is investigating it. I hope someone whose case has been sitting over the last 2 months sues the sheriff's office for this. This is comical that you think this is people complaining because they are miserable here. That is not the case, people want to actually do their jobs, not babysit citizens while they lay in the sun. We got it, we signed up to do whatever the sheriff tells us to do, and we will, but it does not make it right what is happening.
