How would Diaz make an excellent Sheriff? What does he bring to the table that is beneficial to the citizens or employees of the agency? Also, who would he be bringing in with him?

Diaz was a cops cop. He routinely was the first one in the door on in progress calls even when he was a CDO. He would do away with the bullshit of giving away positions just because your dad works here or donates to the election fund. Look at all the jerk offs given spots they weren't qualified for, that would stop and morale would increase greatly.
