How will your agency handle layoffs? Will someone politically appointed have more rights than a tenured airport employee? There are rumors that the past airport police chief hired and promoted people with very little tenure with the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. Will these people be granted more rights, with regards to lay offs, than dedicated long term employees?

What are the rules on the collection bargaining contract, with regards to layoffs? Was the Tampa Airport Police PBA representative who negotiated this contract a long term Hillsborough County Aviation Authority employee or elected/selected by a political entity?
