According to Bob the safest part of the county is in the jail so assign the patrol deputies who call in sick to the jail. That way they can feel safe from the virus and not call in sick.

I agree we need a purge at this agency. Time to bring in decent people who get in this job for the right reasons.

So, 14 dead [many not confirmed as being from COVID] from a 35000 man force. That is not a really big number. 20% out sick. About the same as a bad influenza year. And, there is no evidence that any of the Covid(?) cases were contracted on-duty. And, NYC has the highest rate of COVID deaths per capita [over 3000]. So, this is really no big deal, on a national scale.

14 dead out of 35,000 no big deal? Broward County has 271,517 students, 14 were killed in the Parkland shooting. So if you think 14 out of 35,000 is no big deal, you must think 14 out of 271,517 is......... Insignificant?

1,200,000 people died last year from crashes. 900,000 from cardiac arrest. 800,000 from cancer. 300,000 from strokes. Yes I’m the grand scheme of things is 14 a lot? Tragic yes. Terrible yes. But people die dude. Do you want i go hide in a cave? Go ahead. That’s life.
