F O C K Off you idiot. The Chief is the executive administrator of the Miami Dade Schools Police Department. He has the authority commensurate with the position and unlike yourself, who appears to be a social media police czar, is doing an outstanding job during the COViD 19 pandemic.
Instead of publishing your stupidity and ignorance on this forum, based upon your skimming of a Twitter feed; you should review reliable and relatable materials, standards and guidelines, published from the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emegency Management Agency (FEMA) and our own District’s Emegency Management Plan.
He, like the rest of this country, is managing during a never before seen global crisis. He never did, nor would he ever, deliberately and knowingly place any of his officers, in harms way.
Law enforcement may, unfortunately and at times, find itself along the frontlines of this pandemic crisis, and that is inherent to the line of work we do. Yes, every effort should be made to safeguard and protect the health, safety, well being and lives of our personnel; however, there may be times whereby police officers, fire rescue personnel, nurses, doctors, army national guard personnel, and others may encroach within the social distancing 6’ rule, work without ALL of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and perform other tasks.

Chief Lopez is an honorable man and doing a very good job, with little to no help from his command staff, who are, for the most part, lazy, limited and a liability.
Finally, he would always support the common goals and rule of law at the District, local, municipal, county, state and federal levels, during normal times or under emergency executive orders; however, he does not report to the county mayor and any inclination otherwise is simply wrong.

I think its stupid that we have to come in. We should be awarded emergency pay! They are stealing money from us! We are risking our lives by being out there. No one cares if we get sick or hurt. Just stick together. Even some of the command staff are hiding in their houses. They know its dangerous to come out and work with the people. They won't even go in the headquarters. We should be home! Come out only for emergencies! Fix this!
