Holy roller Christian pastor arrested for "unlaful assembly" to worship God
... in Hillsborough County, Florida: https://www.mysuncoast.com/2020/03/3...at-home-order/
The NYC mayor is now urging people to report to the authorities the unlawful assemblies of Christians in this 22-second video: https://youtu.be/Qpt2OBqQVns (22 seconds)
More questions than answers:
- Are pastors and churches exempt from executive orders that prohibit assemblies to control pandemics?
- If Martial Law is not declared, then can local orders supersede this First Amendment right?
Here is the legal definition of “freedom of assembly” under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution: https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitu...irst_amendment
Religion comes into play if it's true that even one mosque or synagogue was having services in Hillsborough County, while a a very public (and controversial holy roller) Christian pastor was arrested for having "an unlawful worship assembly," then there may be some legal issues.
This video shows how micro droplets spread contagion during unlawful assemblies: https://youtu.be/w2Gzycb03H8 (over 1 minute)
The courts will have the final say, but it is still very disturbing that the preacher assembled his congregation in the middle of a contagious pandemic, but conversely, it is disturbing that he was arrested for “assembly.” This case will definitely be litigated.

The arrest of the preacher looks messy, politically motivated and illegal. The political part comes from internal comments made by HCSO deputies.
Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered a statewide lockdown that prohibits Floridians from leaving home, except for "essential services or activities," which includes:
- Religious services
- Caring for a loved one or friend
- Recreational activities such as walking, biking or fishing and taking care of pets.

In some states, it's asinine to prohibit church people from assembling together, while allowing pot stores and liquor stores to stay open. The pandemic restrictions are a clear opportunity for atheists to single out religious assemblies as being unnecessary, while classifying pot and liquor stores as necessities. It's politics at its worst. Thank gawd the framers of the Constitution put "religious assembly" in the Bill of Rights!

The First Amendment (religious assembly) and the Second Amendment (guns) are the two most hated amendments by Marxists, Communists, Socialists and "progressives." Conversely, those two amendments are what make the United States so vastly different from all other nations on the planet. God bless the United States and President Donald J. Trump!!!

Enforcing social distancing during Ramadan from April 23 to May 23
In the United States, only Christians are being arrested for "religious assembly" -- and not Muslims. However, Ramadan is coming from April 23 to May 23!
The atheistic "progressive" politicians only go after Christian assemblies, but they don’t go after Muslim assemblies in mosques. In those other states, let’s see if atheistic political authorities enforce the social-distancing orders for mosques during Ramadan (April 23 to May 23) like they did churches during Easter. When President Trump also noticed the religious prejudice against Christians, but not Muslims, a CAIR official blasted him as a bigot.
