Arresting a pastor for holding church?

Chad, dude. Your safer at home order does not trump the bill of rights. The right to peaceable assembly and the freedom to exercise religion can not be infringed even in an emergency. This was already made clear by the Mary Mallon case decades ago. You just cost the tax payer a large sum of money because HCSO is going to get a shower of law suits. Time to step down chad. You just list the next election.

First and foremost, the pastor and the congregation are a bunch of idiots for doing this. That said, Chad overstepped his authority. It was Chad's duty to refuse enforcing illegal orders. The ACLU, and Ron McMullen, will have a field day with this. What's also sad is Chad had my vote, until this.

He did this for democrat votes. That’s why his press conference was him and Warren. Chad is really mad because he forgot the pastor doesn’t work for him and he can’t bully the pastor the way he bullies all of us. How can you justify putting a pastor in jail, but you aren’t doing anything about the thousands of other people who are having barbecues and parties? How can you justify putting him in jail when you released real criminals back onto the streets? That was a church filled with a lot of republican votes that just went up for grabs.

Did you hear CC on the news saying he had deputies at the pastor’s house in HERNANDO County, and that if the pastor didn’t surrender himself, we were going in to get him on a second degree misdemeanor? And when asked about the weapons owned by the pastor and his security team, he responded that his deputies are trained to handle that. Are we going to shoot it out with a pastor over a misdemeanor? What happens when he bonds out and returns to church services later this week? Sometimes, we need to learn that not every battle is worth fighting. You may win the battle only to lose the war!

    Discretion vs. the Heavy Hand

I remember back in the day one of the questions the district captain would ask in your final interview before you got cut loose was "... what would you do if a little old lady ran a stop sign and you followed her, and by the time you caught up to her she had parked her car and had went into a church for Sunday service?"

How come Chad is not arresting the Imams at the Mosques which are still meeting in Hillsborough county?

Chad was at that church on the stage with the pastor a few weeks ago telling the audience how wonderful it was.

    No more off duty there.

Maybe you took part in this exercise?

The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.
