Yeah, just watched the video. Salzman draws down in the guy that is not violating any law. He makes the guy LAY on top of his AR-15, like that is real safe. Sgt. Paniccia looks like a moron that has no clue what the law is. He asks the dude "what is this again", then drops the guy's magazine on the ground, lol. apparently he doesn't know how to handle a firearm. Then he points the loaded gun at the fisherman and then points it at Selzman's gut! It takes both idiots about 45 seconds to realize he has a second handgun in a holster and Paniccia says "Jesus Christ, how many guns do you have!". Way to secure the scene Sgt. Paniccia and deputy Blake Salzman. Then both Salzman and Paniccia get schooled on 901.151. Then Paniccia illegally searches his backpack, but doesn't realize that there is a camera on the bag and says "ahh, ****ing prick doesn't have his ID on him". Then the dude calls his lawyer which represents Florida Open Carry, who makes a call to Bob himself on his personal cell phone on a weekend no less, and Bob calls Paniccia, yells at him and tells him to cut the guy loose. YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF MORONS! LOL Oh, and there will definitely be a lawsuit and a payday because three deputies and their sergeant don't know the friggin law. What an embarrassment to the PCSO.

Are you making a assumption that holding a fishing pole in your hand while carrying a AR15 , trumps the officer safety of the dep? Leo's have every right to secure a firearm during any investigation when a gun is present. This also includes people that have lawful concealed carry permits. Until it can be determined that you are "going fishing", the firearm can be temporarily secured while making this determination.

Well, Salzman yelled out "drop the fishing pole", so, clearly, no "investigation" was needed to understand the man was lawfully carrying on his way "to or from" fishing and didn't require a felony stop. I laughed when Salzman yelled out "DROP THE FISHING POLE" while the guy was holding an AM-15 .553 with a 30 round clip and a side arm. I guess he was more worried he was going to get snagged on the hook than shot, LOL. Is that the "officer safety" you were referring to?
"Secure" a firearm? Is that what you call what Sgt. Paniccia did", "secured it"? LOL. First, Salzman had the man LAY on it, concealing it from full view under the man. Then, Paniccia fumbled with it, didn't know what it was, released the magazine so it bounced across the parking lot, the had to ask the man if the safety was on as he is touching the safety himself, then pointed it at the fisherman and Selzman with a round in the chamber. Is that what the PCSO says passes for "securing" a weapon these days? LMAO I'm surprised there are not more deputy on deputy shootings here.
And, yes, that pesky little oath to the constitution you swore to uphold and defend DOES mean that his constitutional rights do trump Selzman's cowardice. The 2nd amendment and Florida law guarantees that man's right to carry a gun without being nearly murdered by a scared two year rookie. And a nice big fat lawsuit with a big payday is going to prove that. Oh, and it is actually an AM-15. That is what the AR platform in pistol form is called.

Uhhh, he had a fishing pole in his hands and the Gulf of Mexico was 60 yards away, and since he was on a peninsula, and walking next to a bridge that funneled him from a place where only water was on the other two sides, it would be evident to everyone but the most ignorant, brain dead MORON that he was coming from "fishing". (or a PCSO deouty) Did you feel his line to see if it was wet? LOL How exactly did you "investigate" if he was fishing Paniccia? Video shows that you didn't ask a single question about his fishing. A classic example of Bob's finest. LMAO
