Academy sponsorship for current employees?

I was wondering if the Sheriff's Office pays for the police academy for current employees? Was trying to find a way to get my foot in the door cuz I do not have a way to pay for the police academy.

It depends on who the employee is, the employee’s track record, and the type of academy (corrections or LEO). They are more likely to sponsor for corrections when there are vacancies. It is all discretionary.
