Not fully staffed and we all know why
In a time like this, it sure would be nice to be fully staffed or at least to a reasonable level... but we all know why we aren't.
The current administration has made this place hard to work for and people have left in droves... and people from the outside are fully aware of what FDLE is now that Swearingen has ruined it.
I am urging that everyone write the Governor and/or Cabinet to demand a change at FDLE. Maybe it's not too late? But it probably is.
Rick should go back to a plush task force job where he can pad his stats and feel good about himself once again because the past 4-5 years has been a GIANT FAILURE.

You are correct, however the crisis has more importantly shown the sectors of FDLE which should remain funded and which should be eliminated. Forensic labs are open and staffed pushing out casework. Firearm purchase program open and inundated with work. Special Agents? Majority of them are “working from home” aka doing absolutely nothing but still trying to convince us they are first responders and high risk. What a joke

Just some of the sneaky Higher ups setting up the Agents they don't like so they can try and force them out... Tell them to work from home and then when all is clear to come back +3 months they'll figure a way to put them on special requirements, threaten PIPs, or whatever it takes to force the ones they don't like out the door. Look, you did nothing and we all know it!! Couple that with as many lies as needed or twisted scenarios that Swearingen and Foy have already shown to be on board with. PBA will again be silent and sackless.
Maybe this will force out some of those useless "senior" agents on drop that are dead weight? We can only hope.

Lets look at this "Elite agency".
Elite- Leader that as appointed because of who they knew and not what they knew.
Long term employees are such big idiots that even the higher ups that came from another agency make sure no one that has been with FDLE their entire career aren't promoted and many times, just forced out like the pieces of shit they are.
The people that came from other agencies (you know, the ones that are "better than the long term FDLE") are old retired ****s looking for an easy ride (and of course get adoration because of their long list of real police work) or the rejects that were forced out there because they were inadequate or ****s (mostly ****s though) so they bring those qualities to FDLE and then magnify their "talents".
Representation for the Agents (PBA) to make sure there is fair and equal treatment and to take control of out of hand upper administration (or just shitty supervisors) - Have been castrated by said under qualified leader to make sure no one could ever question anything. Biggest idiots and bribe worthy pricks put in the position as "regional reps" that in turn act as snitches against those utilizing them to make sure the "right thing" (AKA Integrity of the Agency) happens... so anyone with real integrity does not exist in this system.
Add extra points if you're a protected class or female... most likely the biggest idiots there. Minority Female or protected class = race card and protection from targeting. And for some reason- Hispanic females seem to the absolute worst of the worst.
Everyone knows that when FDLE shows up- it's a clown show. Any agency that still agrees to use them for shootings or anything else just doesn't know better.

Hispanic females have a long history of being the dogs of FDLE... no matter the region. They become Supervisors, ASACS, SACs, you name it... and then the craziness begins. They get away with it because they are master manipulators and appear to be friendly and professional and have a super talent in hiding their craziness and vindictiveness against anyone they personally feel they don't care for or just for sport. Miami, Sebring, Jax, Tampa. A good list of them have been proven liars, with varying results of their lies depending on if they were hot or not (Miami) among other reasons. Also depends on how brainwashed they have made anyone above them as well as their followers that don't really know the real person.
If you get hired at FDLE and end up working for a Hispanic female, RUN.
